Thomas Ankele

Thomas Ankele has extensive work experience in the finance and banking industry. Thomas started their career as an intern at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH in 2002, followed by internships at Sal. Oppenheim jr. & Cie. AG & Co. KGaA in 2003 and EY in 2004. In the same year, they joined Helaba as an intern and later became an associate, working there from 2004 to 2010. In 2011, they moved to KfW IPEX-Bank and held various positions, including Vice President of Maritime Industries from 2011 to 2016, Vice President from 2017 to 2021, Vice President of Infrastructure from 2021 to 2023, and currently serves as the Director of Infrastructure.

Thomas Ankele completed a five-year university study program at the University of Mannheim from 2001 to 2007, where they obtained an equivalent Master Degree in Finance & International Management. Thomas'sfield of study was Wirtschaftswissenschaften. In 2009, they attended the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management for one year, specializing in Ship Finance Management, with a focus on Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law. Additionally, in 2005 and 2006, they studied at the International Christian University, where they pursued Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies.
