Kimm Alfonso is the VP of Creator & Backer Success at Kickstarter. Alfonso previously worked as the Director of Seller Development at Etsy from October 2010 to February 2016. In this role, Alfonso developed the team's strategic vision and set priorities on developing a portfolio of multi-disciplinary campaigns and self-serve resources aimed at meeting the needs of 1.6 million Etsy sellers through education and peer-networking.

Alfonso is responsible for the professional development and engagement of a department staff of 25. Kimm also sits on Etsy's manufacturing advisory board with key industry leaders and sellers.

Some key achievements during their time at Etsy include launching seller social channels (YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram), creating a strategy and framework for product launch communications, and launching the Etsy Craft Entrepreneurship Program which reached 1000 students globally in its first two years.

Alfonso has been interviewed and featured in Fast Company, Country Living, Digiday and other publications. Kimm was also selected to attend Tim O’Reilly’s Foo Camp in 2012 and 2013.

Kimm Alfonso has a bachelor's degree in art history from Boston University and a marketing strategy certificate from Cornell University.
