Maéva Marc

Maéva Marc has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Maéva started their career in 2008 as an Academic Advisor at Innovation Ads. From 2010 to 2011, they worked as a Teaching Artist at Arts For Learning Miami and also served as a Haiti Arts Relief and Development Liaison and Teaching Artist at BuildaBridge International. In 2012, they worked as a Travel Planner and Concierge at New York Guest, LLC.

Beginning in 2014, Maéva transitioned to the field of education, working as a Special Education Teacher at the NYC Department of Education and later at the HeartShare Human Services of New York as a Special Education Teacher at The HeartShare School for Autism.

Maéva then took on a leadership role as the Executive Director at Common Ground Community Development in 2016, where they oversaw administration, programming, and strategic planning. Maéva also developed fundraising, marketing, and community outreach campaigns.

Maéva continued their advocacy and policy work at Leadership for Educational Equity as a Public Policy Fellow from 2018 to 2019. Currently, they are serving as the Vice President of Advocacy & Policy at Kidango, Inc., where they bring their expertise in advocating for children and families.

Throughout their career, Maéva has demonstrated a commitment to education, community building, and advocacy.

Maéva Marc has a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Education/Teaching of Individuals in Elementary Special Education Programs from Brooklyn College, which they obtained from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed an MA degree in Urban Studies: Arts in Transformation (Community Arts) from Eastern University, from 2011 to 2014. Maéva'sundergraduate education was at Florida Atlantic University, where they earned a B.A degree in Multi-Media Communications from 2000 to 2006. Maéva has also obtained additional certifications, including the 2023 Parent and Family Engagement Conference Attendee Certificate and the 2022 Fall Leadership Institute certificate, both from the National Head Start Association.
