Creig Phiri

Creig Phiri has been working in the software development industry since 2018. In 2018, they worked as a Full Stack Developer at Downtime Solutions and as a Software Developer at Wozani Lodges. In 2019, they joined Kidoodle.TV \u00ae - Owned by A Parent Media Co. Inc. as a Senior Technical Lead. In this role, they migrated NodeJS API service to a Python (Flask) service-based application, serving millions of users worldwide. Creig also created and maintained secure API services for use by B2B customers, excelled in rapid prototyping, application development, and resolution of technical challenges, maintained and implemented new procedures for in-house distributed video encoding system, resulting in a reduction in encoding errors, and leveraged message brokers (RabbitMQ and AWS SQS) to isolate long-running tasks on different nodes.

Creig Phiri has an extensive educational background. Creig obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business/Commerce and Law from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika between 2013 and 2016. Creig then went on to earn a Diploma in Computer Software Engineering from George Brown College between 2016 and 2019. Additionally, Creig has obtained three certifications: Grunt.js: Web Workflows from LinkedIn in April 2020, Building RESTful APIs with Flask from LinkedIn in January 2020, and PHP: Object-Oriented Programming from Lynda.com in June 2019.
