Michelle Giezeman

Senior Director, Data at Kids in Need of Defense

Michelle Giezeman has a diverse work experience spanning different organizations and roles. From 2010 to 2011, they worked as an International Program Development Assistant at the American Red Cross. In 2011, they interned as a Refugee Resettlement Intern at the International Rescue Committee, and later became a Caseworker from 2011 to 2013. Michelle then served as a Casework Supervisor from 2013 to 2015 at the same organization. In 2015, they joined Social Solutions as a Strategic Consultant, where they managed client portfolios and provided coaching for outcome and performance management. From 2016 to 2018, they worked at Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) as a Data Manager, responsible for developing and maintaining the organization's case management and reporting database. Michelle later became the Senior Director of Data at KIND, where they directed research and implementation of software and databases to support the organization's work.

Michelle Giezeman has a Master of Information Management degree from the University of Maryland, which they obtained from 2017 to 2020. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Public Service at the University of Notre Dame from 2007 to 2011. Michelle also participated in a semester abroad program at College Year in Athens in 2010, where they focused on Politics, History, and Philosophy. In 2009, they attended Georgetown University for The Fund for American Studies program, where they studied Comparative Political and Economic Systems (ICPES).
