Sheila R. has a solid background in human resources, starting from their role as an HR Generalist at Saint Barnabas Health Care System in 1999, supporting 4 nursing homes with over 500 employees. Sheila then joined Lucent Technologies Bell Labs innovations in 2000 as an HR Business Partner, supporting a client group of 3,000 employees and successfully completing a large-scale Reduction in Force. In 2005, they joined Comcast as an HR Manager, where they managed client groups in various departments, played a key role in performance management and HRIS projects, and advised on HR policies and procedures. Sheila was then promoted to Director of Human Resources at Conduit Global in 2008, where they developed long-range strategies for employee benefits, aligned benefit programs with current healthcare legislation, and later became Vice President of Human Resources at KidsPeace in 2014, leading a team to deliver exceptional customer service in all areas of HR.

Sheila R. obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Behavioral Science with a concentration in Human Behavior and Organizational Psychology from Kean University, which they attended from 1999 to 2002. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology from the same institution, attending from 1995 to 1999. In 2016, they obtained the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification from SHRM. Sheila also obtained a Professional Human Resources certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in 2003. Sheila participated in multiple LinkedIn courses related to diversity, inclusion, and HR topics, with completion expected in 2023. Additionally, they completed a Fellowship program at The Leapfrog Group in 2020.
