Mia Pyykönen

Mia Pyykönen has had a diverse range of work experience. Mia is currently a Board Member at Ravintolamestarit Oy and a Member and Advisor at Rookie Communications Oy. Mia is also a Board Member at Hallituspartnerit Itä-Suomi ry and Secora Systems Oy. Previously, Mia worked as the Operatiivinen johtaja | Chief Operating Officer and Myyntijohtaja | Sales Director at Kiho, where they were responsible for developing enterprise accounts, new business sales, service business development, and US operations. Before that, they were a Change Consultant at Trainers' House. Mia also had leadership roles at Panalpina, serving as the Global Key Account Director and Regional Key Account Manager EMEA. At Panalpina, they led teams, developed accounts, and worked on process improvement projects. Mia began their career as an Import Coordinator at Hapag-Lloyd AG. Overall, Mia has a strong background in leadership, account management, sales, and process optimization.

Mia Pyykönen completed their education in a sequential manner. Mia began their academic journey by earning a Bachelor's degree in Marketing & Logistics from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences between 2003 and 2006. Following this, they pursued an MBA with a focus on User Centered Design / UX at Laurea University of Applied Sciences from 2009 to 2013. Mia then went on to obtain an MSc in Economics & Business Administration with a specialization in International Business & Sales Management from the University of Eastern Finland, where they studied from 2017 to 2022. Concurrently, between 2017 and 2020, Mia completed an Executive MBA program in Educational Leadership and Administration at the Henley Business School. Mia also holds various additional certifications, including "Hyväksytty hallituksen puheenjohtaja -koulutus" and "Hyväksytty hallituksen jäsen -koulutus" from Kuopion alueen kauppakamari achieved in 2023 and 2021 respectively. In addition, they obtained the certifications of "Project Champion 2.0" from Tieturi and "ITIL Foundation Level" from PeopleCert, both acquired in 2021.
