Luis Barroso has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Luis started their career as a Quality Assurance Lead at Gobernación de Santander in 2008. Luis then worked as a People Manager in the Supply Chain department at DISTRAVES S.A. from 2010 to 2011. Following that, Luis joined Philip Morris International as a People Manager in Customer Success from 2011 to 2012.
In 2012, Luis transitioned to Avianca, where they held multiple roles within Cargo Operations including People Manager, Sr. People Manager, and ultimately Director - People Leader from 2012 to 2016. Subsequently, they joined Remote Year in 2016 as the Manager of Strategic Partnerships before becoming the Director of Customer Success from 2016 to 2017.
Luis then co-founded RootLo in 2017, where they served as the Co-Founder, Relationship Manager, and People Coach. Luis was actively involved in securing venture funding and won awards from Google Firebase, Microsoft, and IBM. Luis contributed to the growth of the company until January 2023.
Most recently, Luis joined KinderSystems in May 2023 as a Senior Customer Success Manager.
Luis Barroso's education history includes a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, which they pursued from 2009 to 2011. Their field of study during this program was Business Administration, Management and Operations. In 2013, they pursued a Master in NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) from Altamente ingeniería Humana, focusing on personal coaching. Prior to that, from 2004 to 2009, Luis Barroso earned a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, specializing in Business Administration and Management. Additionally, in 2007, they completed an Intensive English Geos program at Geos International College Oceania, concentrating on English Language and Literature/Letters.
