Tosin Idowu

Tosin Idowu has a diverse range of work experience in the technology industry. They started their career as a Student Intern at Folawiyo Energy Limited in 2017. From 2019 to 2020, Tosin worked as a Data Engineer/Researcher (Intern) at Innoson Technical Limited, where they contributed to the production and manufacturing processes, provided technical solutions, and conducted research to improve engineering simulations.

In 2020, Tosin held multiple roles. They worked as a Software/Data Analyst at Hash Analytics, where they analyzed software and data. They also worked as a Software Developer at Masterweb Solutions, where they built and delivered web projects, improved customer businesses through SEO and web search mechanisms, and worked with the C# language and .NET platform. Additionally, they worked as a Web SEO & Design/Technical Writer, focusing on website SEO and technical writing.

In 2021, Tosin joined Decagon as an Associate Software Engineer and later transitioned into a Software Engineer role. At Decagon, they gained experience in software engineering and collaborated with various teams including frontend, UI, mobile, and QA.

In 2022, Tosin worked as a Software Engineer at Access Bank Plc, focusing on software development. They also worked at Stanbic IBTC as a Software Engineer. In this role, they improved and refactored existing codes, underwent cybersecurity and solution architecture courses, and participated in a team that rolled out new features, resulting in a 40% improvement in customer turnover. Additionally, they created and managed numerous microservices, integrated various external APIs and services, and worked with a large team of developers.

Currently, Tosin is working as a .Net Software Developer at Kindred for Business, starting in 2023.

Tosin Idowu attended the University of Lagos from 2013 to 2018, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Tosin also obtained additional certifications, including an EF SET English Certificate with a proficiency level of C2 (81/100) in April 2022 from EF Standard English Test (EF SET), and a Scrum Fundamentals Certification (SFC) in March 2022 from SCRUMstudy - Accreditation Body for Scrum and Agile.
