Artificial Intelligence Researcher at Kindred AI

Bryan Chan has a variety of work experience in the field of artificial intelligence and academia. Bryan began their career as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Toronto Scarborough in 2016, where they supported faculty members by assisting in courses. In 2018, they continued this role while also working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Toronto, where they provided teaching support to graduate-level courses. In 2019, Bryan gained further research experience as an Artificial Intelligence Researcher at Kindred.ai, contributing to projects in the field. Bryan then returned to academia, working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Toronto Scarborough and the University of Toronto from 2019 to 2022. During this time, they also served as a Sessional Lecturer at the University of Toronto Scarborough, teaching undergraduate courses. In 2020, Bryan transitioned to a role as a Machine Learning Researcher at Kindred.ai, where they contributed to research and development efforts. Bryan'smost recent position, starting in 2023, is as an Artificial Intelligence Researcher at Kindred, Part of Ocado Group, where they continue to work on AI-related projects. Bryan Chan began their education at Thornlea Secondary School from 2009 to 2013, where they obtained their High School Diploma. Bryan then pursued a degree in Computer Science at the University of Toronto Scarborough from 2013 to 2018, earning an Honours Bachelor of Science (H.BSc). Following this, Bryan attended the University of Toronto from 2018 to 2019, where they obtained a Master of Science in Applied Computing (MScAC) with a specialization in Computer Science. Currently, Bryan is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Statistical Machine Learning at the University of Alberta, a program they have been enrolled in since 2022.
