Riley Stevenson has a diverse work experience, beginning with a role as an Editorial Assistant at Portland Monthly in 2012. In 2013, they worked as a Reporter at The Gresham Outlook, where they managed social media accounts and received an Oregon Newspaper Association award for an article series on refugee housing. In 2014, they worked as Training Director and Project Director at Amigos de las Americas, where they designed and facilitated training programs and directed a youth leadership and community development program. In 2016, Riley worked as an Instructor and Research Assistant at the University of Oregon, teaching fundamental reporting and strategic communication skills to undergraduate journalism students. Riley also worked as a Teacher at Morrison Child and Family Services, teaching math and social studies classes, coordinating field trips, and processing new student intake. In the same year, they worked as a Program Manager at the Journalistic Learning Initiative, directing project-based learning programs in three Portland area schools. In 2019, Riley worked as an Outreach Director at Amigos de las Americas, leading all recruitment activities and creating a handover report for the Chapter with recommendations and strategies on how to create sustainable and meaningful outreach. In 2020, they worked as a Lifecycle Marketing Manager and Global Marketing Copy-Writer at Kinedu, a Series A start-up mobile app for parents. Finally, in 2021, Riley began their current role as Senior Marketing Manager and Marketing Manager at Reperio Health, where they help individuals access their own health data through a kit of FDA-approved medical sensors.

Riley Stevenson attended Central Catholic High School in Portland from 2006 to 2010. Riley then went on to the University of Oregon, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism in 2014. In 2016, they returned to the University of Oregon to pursue a Master's degree in Communication and Media Studies, which they completed in 2018. In 2019, they obtained a Digital Marketing Specialization from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Riley also holds a Teaching English as a Foreign Language certification from the CIEE Council on International Educational Exchange.
