Richard Ball

Richard Ball currently serves as Principal Data Scientist at KINETIC since November 2023, following a similar role at Anonos from August 2022 to October 2023. Prior to that, Richard held positions at Luno, including Lead Data Scientist and Senior Data Scientist from December 2018 to November 2022. Experience also includes a managerial role and Senior Data Scientist position at Travelstart between April 2017 and November 2018, and a Data Scientist role at Catalytiq (Pty) Ltd from May 2016 to March 2017. Richard began professional career as an Analyst Developer at Allan Gray Proprietary Limited from August 2009 to April 2016, and served as an Industrial Engineer at Southern Spars from July 2007 to June 2008. Richard holds a PhD in Computer Science from North-West University, an MPhil in Engineering Management from the University of Cape Town, and several other advanced degrees in Financial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Research, and Quantitative Management from various institutions.
