Jan Vermeiren

Jan Vermeiren has extensive work experience in various leadership roles.

Starting from 1980, they worked at the Organization of American States as the Division Chief of Development in the Caribbean Region. In this role, they were responsible for development assistance programs in the region and implemented projects related to natural hazard mitigation and climate change adaptation. Jan held this position until 2005.

In 2006, Vermeiren joined Kinetic Analysis Corporation, where they served as the CEO until 2012. During their tenure, Kinetic Analysis became a leader in multi-model impact forecasting and risk assessment for catastrophic events. Prior to that, they completed a Master's degree in electro-mechanical engineering at Rijksuniversiteit Gent, Belgium, from 1964 to 1969.
