Miguel Garcia

Head of Marketing, ANZ at Kingfisher Mobile

Miguel Garcia has a diverse work experience that spans over more than 15 years. Miguel is currently working as the Head of Marketing, ANZ at Kingfisher, starting in 2022. Prior to this role, Miguel was employed at Iris as the General Manager from December 2017 to May 2022. As the General Manager at Iris, they successfully secured new business revenue, won clients such as Global Rapid Rugby, Origin Energy, and Reflections Holiday Parks, and conducted a launch campaign for Global Rapid Rugby across APAC.

Before joining Iris, Miguel worked for Content Agency as the Head of Strategy & Client Service from November 2016 to October 2017. Some of their notable achievements during this time included repositioning Weber BBQ through a summer campaign in 2017 and managing a roadshow for Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum, where original tattoo artwork was showcased across multiple cities. Additionally, Miguel contributed to the global repositioning and launch of Rhino-Rack in Australia and the US market.

Their earlier experiences include working as a Group Account Director at M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment - Australia from May 2015 to November 2016, and freelance roles as a Group Account Director at DDB from March 2015 to May 2015, and at DISCIPLE from January 2015 to March 2015. Prior to that, Miguel served as a Group Account Director at OddfellowsDentsu from August 2012 to January 2015, a Senior Business Director at RAPP Sydney from February 2008 to July 2012, and an Account Director at Oddfellows from October 2006 to January 2008. Miguel began their career as an Account Manager at McConnells Ireland from July 2005 to June 2006.

Throughout their career, Miguel has demonstrated their expertise in strategic planning, client service, new business development, campaign management, and brand positioning.

Miguel Garcia graduated from AWARD School in 2008, where they obtained a Graduate degree in Creative Writing. Prior to that, from 1998 to 2001, they attended Western Sydney University and earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Industrial Design.
