Leila abu

Leila Abu has extensive work experience in human resources and people operations. Leila is currently serving as the Head of People - Africa at KingMakers since June 2022. Prior to this, they held the role of Head of People - Nigeria at KingMakers from December 2021 to May 2022. Before joining KingMakers, Leila worked at Paga Group Ltd as the General Manager: People Operations from October 2020 to November 2021 and as the Assistant General Manager: People Operations from November 2018 to October 2020. Prior to their tenure at Paga Group Ltd, they worked at OPSL Human Resources as an Associate Principal in October 2018 and as a Senior Associate from January 2016 to August 2018. Leila's earlier experience includes working at Ocean & Oil Holdings as an Associate from September 2014 to December 2015 and as an HR and Legal Analyst from January 2012 to September 2014. Leila started their career at Design Options as an Officer from October 2010 to December 2011.

Leila Abu attended The African Leadership University in 2020, where they completed the Leadership Xcelerator Program. This program focused on areas such as self leadership, commercial leadership, people leadership, strategic execution, and growth.

Prior to that, from 2008 to 2009, Leila attended the University of Birmingham, where they pursued a degree in Law. However, the specific field of study within the Law degree is not specified.

Leila's education journey started in 2005 when they enrolled at The University of Manchester. Leila completed their Bachelor's Degree in Criminology there, which spanned from 2005 to 2008.
