David Shemilt has a diverse range of work experience in the field of soccer coaching. David is currently the Director of Coaching at Kings Hammer, where they focus on coach education and development, staff evaluation, and communication. Prior to this role, they worked as an Olympic Development Program (ODP) Coach at the Kentucky Youth Soccer Association, where they helped identify and train talented players for international competition.

David also worked as the Head Soccer Coach and Head of Sports Programs/Athletic Director at the University of Derby, where they managed athletic programs, scheduling, and budgeting.
Additionally, David has gained experience as an Academy Soccer Coach at Red Bull New York, where they developed curriculum for community soccer clubs, designed and coached training programs, and managed teams of coaches. David also served as the First team Head Coach / Academy Director & NZFF Coach Educator at Football South | Football Federation in New Zealand and as a Soccer specific fitness instructor at Consultancy House Clinic.
Earlier in their career, David worked as a Soccer Clinician & Coach at Elite Soccer UK, where they managed and coordinated multiple soccer clubs and implemented development curriculum. David also gained experience as an Assistant Women's Soccer Coach at Bloomsburg University, where they led student-athlete recruitment, supervised academics, and provided player assessment and conditioning.
