Karen Eden

Research Lead Vision Rehabilitation Clinic at Kingston General Hospital Inc.

Karen Eden has extensive experience in research and administrative roles. Karen currently works as a Research Lead at Kingston Health Sciences Centre, where they are involved in research studies and quality improvement initiatives in the Vision Rehabilitation Clinic. Karen also collects and reports clinic metrics for the Annual Report to Ontario Health Teams. Prior to this, they worked as a Research Assistant at Kids Inclusive for two years. Earlier in their career, Karen worked as a Research Administrator at Women's College Hospital, providing administrative support and research consultancy to medical professionals. Karen has also worked as a Teacher and Curriculum Manager in Sociology at New College, a Research Officer at the Trust for the Study of Adolescence, and as an External Marker and Dissertation Supervisor at the University of Leicester. Karen's experience also includes roles as a Research Fellow at Liverpool John Moores University and as a University Lecturer in the Sociology Department at Buckinghamshire New University.

Karen Eden has a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Buckinghamshire New University, which they obtained from 1992 to 1995. From 1995 to 1996, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Criminology at Keele University. Finally, in 2001 and 2002, Karen completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Research at Keele University.
