Sandra Carlton

Sandra Carlton is the Joint Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for Kingston Health Sciences Centre and Providence Care. She is a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) and an experienced senior leader in academic health services settings.

Sandra began her career in healthcare working in human resources at Kingston General Hospital in 1989. In 1997, Sandra joined Providence Care and in 2003, she took on the role of Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Development. In 2010, Sandra assumed the role of Vice President of Mission, Values & People, focusing on fostering a culture of trust, respect, and compassion at Providence Care. Effective December 1, 2015, Sandra was appointed as the Joint Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for Kingston General Hospital and Providence Care.

In her role at the Kingston Health Sciences Centre, Sandra holds accountability for Total Rewards & Workforce Planning, the People Services Centre, Payroll, Healthy Workplace Services, Occupational Health, Safety & Wellness, and Volunteer Services & Corporate Accessibility. At Providence Care, Sandra’s portfolio includes diverse areas of responsibility including corporate service departments, as well as for the Community Programs.
