John F. Paolini MD, PhD, FACC has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and medical field. John F. started their career at Harvard Medical School as a Resident in Internal Medicine and later became a Fellow in Cardiovascular Medicine. John F. then joined the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a Postdoctoral Fellow, focusing on Cardiovascular Biology and Restenosis. From there, they held positions at Merck and Bayer HealthCare as a Senior Director and Global Clinical Leader, respectively, specializing in Cardiovascular Disease. John F. then became the Chief Medical Officer at Cerenis Therapeutics before moving on to Pfizer as the Vice President and Clinical Research Head in the Cardiovascular and Metabolic Diseases Unit. Currently, they serve as the Chief Medical Officer at Kiniksa Pharmaceuticals.
John F. Paolini MD, PhD, FACC pursued their education in a meticulous and comprehensive manner throughout their academic journey. John F. began their educational endeavors at Jesuit High School, where they completed their high school education from 1977 to 1982.
Building upon their foundational education, Paolini then attended Tulane University from 1982 to 1986. During their time there, they completed a Bachelor of Arts in Latin and a Bachelor of Science in Biology. This multidisciplinary approach allowed him to develop a strong understanding of both the humanities and the sciences.
Eager to further their academic achievements, Paolini then enrolled at Duke University School of Medicine from 1986 to 1995. During this extensive period of study, they secured both an MD and a PhD degree, specializing in Medicine/Immunology. By pursuing dual degrees in medicine and immunology, Paolini showcased their dedication to advancing knowledge in their field and their commitment to improving the lives of patients.
