Rustin Shenkman

Rustin Shenkman is an experienced biopharmaceutical professional with a robust background in cell culture development, process optimization, and upstream manufacturing. Currently serving as Director of Internal Cell Culture Development & Manufacture at Kiniksa Pharmaceuticals since April 2021, responsibilities include overseeing GMP operations, cell line development, and regulatory submissions. Previously, at Takeda, Shenkman held the role of Associate Director, focusing on viral vector platform development and clinical programs. A tenure at Shire as a Senior Development Engineer involved leading upstream development for commercial projects and technology transfer. Earlier experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Ohio State University contributed to advancements in cardiovascular health research. Shenkman holds a PhD in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University.
