Christopher Chandler

CTO & Co-Founder at Kinnami

Christopher Chandler is co-founder and Principal Architect at Kinnami software. Chris has over 30 years-experience in the commercial software market innovating, engineering and developing enterprise software primarily in the area of enterprise data protection, availability and security. The majority of his career was spent at Veritas where he held a number of technical and management positions in Engineering. As a member of the core engineering team, Chris was a key contributor to several impactful projects including the industry-leading NetBackup products. Additionally, he led a number of company-wide initiatives, essential to improving product quality. These included founding the Internal Usability Practice and building the usability labs necessary to test products with customers.

A year after the Veritas/Symantec merger, Chris left the company to research the impact on privacy of the emerging explosion in collaborative information. This work has formed the basis of intellectual property now owned by Kinnami.

Chris is named as the Principal Inventor of six U.S. patents in the fields of data protection, software automation and user interface design. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Bristol, U.K.
