Christopher Laakko

Christopher Laakko has a wealth of experience in the finance and investment industries. Christopher began their career in 2006 as a Real Estate Manager for Steve & Barry's, where they were responsible for deal sourcing, site selection, economic negotiation, and relationship management. In 2008, they joined D. E. Shaw & Co. as a Corporate Development Associate, where they were responsible for firmwide strategy, business development, competitor intelligence, product development, and management of research analysts. In 2014, they moved to smartShift Technologies as a Product Manager. Most recently, in 2016, they joined Kinneret Group LLC as a Portfolio Manager - Private Investments, where they are a member of the Investment Committee and is responsible for opportunity sourcing and due diligence of private funds, co-investments, and direct investments (all asset classes), portfolio strategy and analysis, and evaluation of charitable ventures. Christopher has also served as a Senior Vice President and Vice President at Kinneret Group LLC.

Christopher Laakko obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College in 2006, majoring in Classics and Psychology. Christopher also holds a PMC-III certification from Pragmatic Marketing.
