Cara Hill

Cara Hill has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Cara is currently working as a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer at Kinside since October 2022. Prior to this, they were employed at Radio New Zealand as a Senior Developer from November 2020 to June 2022. Before that, they worked at Ackama, where they held the position of Senior Developer from October 2019 to November 2020, and Web Developer from July 2015 to October 2019. Cara also has experience in the theater and arts industry, having worked at Circa Theatre as a Marketing and Audience Development Manager from January 2013 to March 2015, and as an Audience Development Director from March 2010 to December 2012. Additionally, they had previous roles as a Publicist/Web Editor at Manitoba Theatre Centre from February 2008 to November 2009, Communications Coordinator at Manitoba Lotteries Corporation from July 2006 to January 2008, and Fundraising Coordinator at Manitoba Brain Injury Association from March to July 2006.

Cara Hill's education history includes a variety of studies and certifications. Cara attended Dev Academy Aotearoa in 2015, where they focused on learning Ruby on Rails, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Prior to that, from 2004 to 2006, they obtained a diploma in Creative Communications from Red River College Polytechnic. In 2002, they pursued a B.A. Honours degree in English Literature from the University of Ottawa, which they completed in 2004. Cara also holds a B.A. degree in English Literature from The University of Winnipeg, which they obtained from 1995 to 1998.

In addition to their formal education, Cara Hill has also obtained additional certifications. In 2019, they completed the "Dino 101: Dinosaur Paleobiology" course from Coursera. Cara also holds the "Ruby Association Certified Ruby Programmer Silver version 2.1" certification, which they obtained in 2018 from Ruby Association.
