Shannon Thompson

Shannon Thompson has extensive experience in health information management and customer service. Currently serving as a HIM specialist at Kiowa County Memorial Hospital since March 2013, Shannon has a background that includes roles at TJ Maxx as an associate, where exceptional customer service is provided in a busy retail environment. Previous positions include a decade at New Image Dental Care as a Dental Front Desk staff member handling various administrative tasks and a Director of Health Information at Share Medical Center, overseeing medical transcription and coding. Earlier roles include secretarial work at Oklahoma Liquid Feed and a foundational position as a Medical Records Clerk at Kiowa County Memorial Hospital. Shannon holds an Associate of Science in Health Information/Medical Records Technology from Dodge City Community College and has additional training as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse, complemented by strong technical skills in healthcare software applications.
