Curtis Momon

Achievement Director Of Special Education at KIPP Metro Atlanta

Curtis Momon has a diverse work experience, starting in 2008 as a Community Support Specialist at Project Adventure, Inc., where they guided clients in managing anger and overcoming life difficulties. From 2006 to 2015, Curtis worked in the Dekalb County School District as a Special Education Teacher, supporting students with disabilities and ensuring IEP guidelines were followed. In 2015, they joined KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools as an Assistant Principal of Scholar Support, where they developed IEPs, created schedules based on student needs, and worked with intervention groups. Curtis also co-founded Future Leaders and Innovators of Atlanta in 2015, serving as COO. In 2022, they became the Achievement Director of Special Education at KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools.

Curtis Momon's education history begins in 2002 when they atte nded Morehouse College and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 2006. Following this, they pursued a Master's Degree in Community Health Services/Liaison/Counseling at Argosy University from 2006 to 2009. In 2010, Curtis enrolled in the University of Phoenix and obtained a Master of Business Administration degree in Business Administration and Management, General in 2011. Continuing their education, they attended Argosy University once again from 2012 to 2016 and earned a Doctor of Education degree in Early Childhood Education and Teaching. Additionally, in September 2015, Curtis completed the Crisis Prevention/Intervention Training Program and obtained certification in Crisis Prevention/Intervention.
