Sasha Mills is an experienced educator with a focus on effective communication and instructional strategies. Currently serving as an Instructor at Atlanta Public Schools since September 2017, Sasha has a proven track record of planning and executing engaging lessons aligned with educational standards. Additional experience includes roles as a Policy Advisor for the Atlanta Board of Education, managing research projects with GeeARS, and developing English curriculum for underserved communities. Previous positions at KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools include serving as a Kindergarten Teacher and Instructional Coach, where Sasha led professional development and designed data-driven communication strategies. Sasha’s diverse background also includes teaching roles at Ivy Preparatory Academy and participation in Teach For America. In addition, practical experience in legal research and advocacy was gained through internship positions at the American Civil Liberties Union and The Public Defender’s Service for the District of Columbia. Sasha Mills holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Spelman College.
