Amy Tran has a diverse work experience in the field of education and student services. Amy started as a Leadership Coordinator at Asian Pacific American Student Services, where they organized conferences and welcome events for students. Amy then worked as a Resident Advisor and Guest Relations Officer at the University of Southern California, where they provided guidance and support to students and conducted tours for prospective students. Amy also worked as a Content Specialist for Teach For America, where they focused on developing educational resources. Amy further expanded their experience as a Social Studies Teacher at F.M. Black Middle School and as an English Instructor at Shengda College. Amy played a pivotal role as the Founding Academic Director at Cornerstone Academy Preparatory School before taking on the role of Founding Principal at KIPP Heritage Academy. Currently, they hold the position of Managing Director of Schools at KIPP Public Schools Northern California. Throughout their career, Amy has demonstrated a strong commitment to education, student development, and creating positive change in the community.

Amy Tran completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies and Ethnicity with a minor in Cinema-Television at the University of Southern California from 2002 to 2006. Amy then pursued a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Instructional Leadership at the Reach Institute for School Leadership from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, from 2007 to 2009, they obtained another M.Ed. degree in Education Administration from the University of Houston.

In addition to their degrees, Amy Tran also holds certifications. Amy has a CA Clear Administrative Services Credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing, and a CA Clear Single Subject Teaching Credential in Social Science, also issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
