Stephanie Lowenthal-Savy has diverse work experience in the education sector. Stephanie started their career in 2012 as a Teacher and Boettcher Teacher Fellow at SOAR Charter School. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as a 6th Grade Social Studies Teacher at DSST Public Schools. In 2016, Stephanie moved to Oakland Unified School District and served as an Elementary School Teacher until 2018. During this time, they also worked as a Teacher Policy Fellow at GO Public Schools from 2017 to 2018. In 2018, Stephanie joined KIPP Public Schools Northern California as a Project Manager, Academic Data and Assessment. Stephanie later transitioned to the role of Manager, Strategic Finance in 2020 and is currently working as an Associate Director, Financial Planning and Analysis.

Stephanie Lowenthal-Savy began their education by obtaining a Baccalaureat Francais from the International High School of San Francisco. Stephanie then earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Oberlin College, majoring in Gender and Women's Studies and Studio Art. Stephanie later pursued a Master of Education (M.Ed) degree with a focus on Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education at Regis University. Currently, they are enrolled at Yale School of Management, working towards a Master's in Public Education Management through their broad master's program.

In terms of additional certifications, Stephanie has completed a course in Real Estate Financial Modeling from Udemy and another in Construction Finance from Coursera. Furthermore, they have obtained certifications in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education from the Colorado Department of Education and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from the California Department of Education. Stephanie also holds a Secondary Social Studies Teaching Credential from the Colorado Department of Education.
