Taylan Ekici

Taylan Ekici has extensive experience in the field of real estate, facilities management, and capital programs. Taylan is currently serving as the Managing Director of Real Estate & Facilities at KIPP Public Schools Northern California. Prior to this, they worked at Brandeis University as the Director of Capital Programs, where they managed the university's capital programs, energy management team, and office of sustainability. Before that, they were the Associate Director at Tufts University, where they oversaw the planning and implementation of a $600M+ capital renewal program and led the transformation of the university's capital renewal planning process. Taylan also worked as a Senior Project Manager at Tufts University, where they were responsible for the planning, design, and renovation of various research/lab, academic buildings, and infrastructure renewal projects. Taylan started their career at Arcadis as a Project Manager, and later worked at Stegla Group and Nortel Networks as a Project Engineer and Project Manager respectively. Throughout their career, Taylan has demonstrated expertise in project and program management, pre-construction planning, construction oversight, and effective management of the overall development process.

Taylan Ekici has a Master's degree in Project Management - Construction from Northwestern University, which was obtained in 2003. Prior to that, they completed a Masters degree in Architecture from Istanbul Technical University, from 1998 to 2001. Taylan also holds a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi / Middle East Technical University, which they obtained from 1993 to 1998. In addition to their academic qualifications, Taylan Ekici has obtained a certification as Leed AP from the USGBC National Capital Region.
