Andrew Martinez

Andrew Martinez, Ph.D. is a seasoned higher education professional with extensive experience in college success initiatives. Currently serving as the Director of College Success at KIPP NYC since July 2020, Andrew has previously held roles including Associate Director and College Success Manager within the same organization. Additionally, Andrew contributes to academia as an Adjunct Professor at Montclair State University, teaching courses on Diversity & Equity in Higher Education, and has taught similar subjects at Baruch College. Andrew’s prior experience includes positions as a Contributing Writer for Diverse: Issues In Higher Education, Research Associate at Rutgers University and the University of Pennsylvania, and Assistant Dean of Students at Cornell University. Andrew holds a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from the University of Pennsylvania, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Cornell University.
