Keyauna Morris has a diverse work experience spanning several years. Keyauna started their teaching career in 2016 as an Elementary School Teacher in Vallejo City Unified School District, where they taught all subjects to first-grade students and provided extra support in reading and math. Keyauna also worked as a Teacher at YMCA summer camp, creating lesson plans and chaperoning students on field trips.
In 2018, Keyauna joined Caliber Schools as a Computer Science Teacher, focusing on teaching coding, computational thinking, and problem-solving to grades 2-5. Keyauna also emphasized social-emotional learning and supported students academically and emotionally. Keyauna'srole ended in March 2023.
Additionally, Keyauna worked as a Program Consultant for NEW DAWN VALLEJO CORPORATION in 2019, where they planned and organized the Summer Pre-K Academy to prepare students and parents for kindergarten. Keyauna also served as a Marketing Intern at California Teaching Fellows Foundation in 2016 and gained experience as a Public Relations Intern at Hands On Network in 2015.
Keyauna's passion for education and community involvement is evident throughout their career, as they volunteered as a Public Relations Volunteer at United Cerebral Palsy in 2015 and substitute taught and organized enrichment classes as a Substitute Teacher for the California Teaching Fellows Foundation from 2014 to 2015. Keyauna also worked as a Student Assistant and Public Relations Volunteer at Fresno State in 2013.
Keyauna Morris recently started a new role as an Elementary School Teacher at KIPP SoCal Public Schools in November 2021.
Keyauna Morris earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication/Media Studies from California State University, Fresno, where they attended from 2012 to 2016. Keyauna then pursued a Master of Education in Urban Education and Leadership at Touro University California from 2017 to 2019. In addition, they obtained a CPR Pro certification from American Health and Safety, LLC in January 2015.
