Mae Innes

Special Education Program Specialist at KIPP SoCal Public Schools

Mae Innes began their work experience as a Special Education Teacher at the San José Unified School District in 2009. Mae taught various subjects to 6th-8th graders and also took on additional roles such as being a PBIS Team Lead and a co-advisor for the MESA program, Leadership, and Garden Club. In 2014, they joined the Conroe Independent School District as a Special Education Co-Teacher until 2019. Mae then worked as a Special Education Coordinator at Ednovate Inc from 2019 to 2020. Currently, Mae is working as a Special Education Program Specialist at KIPP SoCal Public Schools, where they support multiple schools and ensures their Special Education programs align with their long-term vision for growth and development.

Mae Innes has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in Labor & Workplace Studies from UCLA, which they obtained in the period from 2005 to 2009. Mae pursued further education by obtaining a Master of Science degree in Educational Administration from National University between 2012 and 2014. In 2016, Mae Innes completed a certificate program in Principalship from Lamar University.
