Ximena Mejía Estrada

Ximena Mejía Estrada has a long and varied work experience. In 2021, they were appointed General Manager of Kitchenita. In 2020, they were Founder (Sr. Innovation Designer) of La Remontadora, where they challenged the traditional approach to problem solving and was responsible for executive production of multimedia theatrical/musical production. In 2019, they were Marketing & Branding Research at Armadillo Botanics S.A.S. Also in 2020, they were Business Development Director at VICE Media, where they were responsible for revenue growth, production, creative and commercial teams, and quality assurance of client briefs. In 2018, they were Gerente Retail MIDAM ZX Ventures, responsible for P&L, operation and logistics of POC, development of Cucapá POS Franchise Model, and improvement of brand experience and consumption in points of sale. From 2015-2018, they were Gerente de Operaciones at Bogota Beer Company, responsible for revenue of sales points of experience 360, development and expansion of points of sale and warehouses, and design and conceptualization of retail experiences for points of sale. From 2006-2015, they were General Manager and Gerente de Operaciones at La Hamburgueseria, responsible for the company's P&L, design and implementation of expansion strategy, development of new products, coordination of service of points of sale, opening of new points of sale, staff training, and development of operations manuals.

Ximena Mejía Estrada began their educational journey in 2001 when they attended the Casa del Teatro Nacional, where they studied Dramaturgia. In 1996, they began their studies at the Universidad de Manizales, where they pursued a degree in Comunicacion Social y Periodismo; however, the degree was left incomplete. In 2020, they completed a Master in Social Innovation from Learning by Helping. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Design Thinking from Anheuser-Busch in 2018, and an Introduction to Human-Centered Design from Acumen Academy.
