Gillian Benjamin has a diverse work experience that spans various roles and industries. Gillian is currently serving as the Head of Learning Content at Kite Insights since 2022. Prior to this, Gillian founded and served as the CEO of MakeTomorrow, a corporate climate change training company, from 2018 to 2022. Their role involved creating visually compelling micro-online courses to help people take meaningful action towards a zero-carbon future.

Before founding MakeTomorrow, Gillian was self-employed from 2017 to 2018. During this time, they conducted extensive research to identify education and communication opportunities to accelerate progress towards a low-carbon economy. This research led their to develop the concept of MakeTomorrow.

Gillian also holds an MBA from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, where they were a Class Representative and received the Dean's Commendation award for outstanding contribution to the MBA class and wider school community.

Additionally, Gillian has experience working as the Design Division Programme Manager at The Craft + Design Institute (CDI), where they established and ran pilot projects to improve systems and services in healthcare, education, and the built environment. Gillian was responsible for managing program strategy, budget, communications, and HR.

Prior to their time at CDI, Gillian founded Make Content in 2009 and served as its Founder until 2013.

Gillian Benjamin completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford from 2016 to 2017. In 2018, they also attended the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership at the University of Cambridge for a Business Sustainability Management short course. Prior to these experiences, they obtained a Bachelor of Social Science degree in Social Anthropology and Environmental Science from the University of Cape Town from 2007 to 2009. In 2003 to 2005, Gillian studied Visual Communication with a focus on Graphic Design and Art Direction at the AAA School of Advertising.
