Richard Candler

Richard Candler is an experienced professional in project delivery and transformation, currently serving as GM of the Transformation Programme at Kiwibank since September 2019. Prior to this role, Richard held various leadership positions, including Director of Project Delivery at the Department of Corrections NZ and Portfolio Lead at Spark New Zealand. Noteworthy experience includes leading the Head of Investment Solutions Delivery at Equiniti, overseeing a PMO team, and managing significant projects generating approximately £100 million in revenue. Richard has extensive experience in digital and emerging payments through a tenure as Program Director at American Express, where responsibilities included managing large ICT teams and driving transformational change post-M&A. Richard also has a strong background in supplier performance management from work at Vodafone and holds an MBA in Project Management from Henley Business School along with a Master's in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bristol.
