Joseph Ransom, MS, LMFT has over 10 years of experience in the mental health field. Joseph started their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at Oklahoma State University and held various clinical internships at the Center for Family Services and FOCUS INSTITUTE OF STILLWATER, LLC.
In 2011, Joseph joined Klamath Basin Behavioral Health (KBBH) as a Child and Family Therapist and eventually took on roles such as School Based Services Program Supervisor, Outpatient Team Lead, and PCIT Program Manager. Joseph also served as the Clinical Supervisor, overseeing a therapy department and managing budgets. Joseph's most recent role at KBBH is Director of Continuous Improvement.
Joseph's work experience also includes being a member of the Oregon PCIT Consortium Steering Committee since 2015.
Prior to their career in mental health, Joseph had roles as a Warehouse Supervisor at Emergency Essentials® and a Maintenance Specialist at Campus Plaza Parks Properties. Joseph also worked as a Mail Handler and Receptionist at Brigham Young University and had internships at Portland General Electric.
Throughout their career, Joseph has demonstrated a strong commitment to providing high-quality therapy services, overseeing program implementation, and building strong community partnerships.
Joseph Ransom, MS, LMFT has a strong educational background in the field of Marriage and Family Therapy. Joseph earned a Bachelor's degree in Marriage, Family, and Human Development from Brigham Young University, completing their studies from 2004 to 2008. Subsequently, Joseph pursued further education at Oklahoma State University, where they obtained a Master's degree in Human Development and Family Science with a specialization in the Marriage and Family Therapy Option. This degree was attained from 2009 to 2011.
In addition to their formal education, Joseph has acquired various certifications to enhance their professional qualifications. Joseph is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, having achieved this status in February 2014 from the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors & Therapists. Furthermore, Joseph has undergone training and earned the title of Certified PCIT Therapist from PCIT International in October 2017. Joseph is also an Approved Supervisor Candidate with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors & Therapists since August 2016, and recently became an Approved Supervisor in March 2021 through the same institution.
