Deana Toner

Deana Toner is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in banking and finance law. Most recently, Deana served as the Managing Director and US General Counsel at Klarna from June 2022 to May 2024, where responsibilities included leading the Legal Competence Group. Prior to Klarna, Deana held the position of Banking & Finance Associate at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP from October 2016 to March 2020, and worked in a similar capacity at White & Case LLP from March 2015 to October 2016. Early career experience includes serving as a Student at Law/Associate at Stikeman Elliott LLP from August 2012 to March 2015 and as a Research Assistant at Osgoode Hall Law School's Clinical Education program. Deana holds a Juris Doctor from York University - Osgoode Hall Law School and a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Political Science, History, and American Studies from the University of Toronto - Trinity College.
