José Cal has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Starting in 2008, they worked as a teacher at Curso e Colégio pH until 2012. In 2013, they joined DOF ASA, a global oil & gas company, where they progressed from a Marketing Communications Assistant to ultimately becoming the Marketing Communications Manager. José then transitioned to Apple in 2017, first as a Business Development Manager, followed by a role as a Senior Key Account Manager, where they achieved exceptional results in revenue generation and client engagement. In 2020, José took on the role of Partner Marketing at Apple and subsequently moved to Klarna in 2021. At Klarna, they initially served as the EMEA Marketing Campaign Manager, overseeing campaigns and managing a multi-million pound budget. José was later promoted to the position of Global Marketing Campaign Lead, where they currently manage a team responsible for impactful co-branded campaigns across multiple regions and channels, contributing to a significant annual turnover in advertising fees. Throughout their career, José has consistently demonstrated their ability to drive successful marketing campaigns and exceed expectations in revenue growth and project deployment.

José Cal's education history begins in 2012 when they participated in an exchange program at Universidade da Coruña, where they focused on Audiovisual Communications. In 2016, they obtained the Pearson VUE Academic certification from Pearson VUE. That same year, they also received an Adobe Photoshop Certificate Associate from Adobe. In 2016-2017, José pursued a post-graduate degree at the University of the Arts London in Design and Visual Communications, General. José then went on to earn their Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies from Universidade Federal Fluminense between 2010 and 2015. José's most recent educational achievement was obtaining a Level 6 Diploma in Professional Marketing from CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing, which they completed in 2021.
