Laurent began their career at SprinkleBit, where they served as a Marketing Intern from June 2013 to December 2013. Laurent then progressed to the role of Marketing Manager from December 2013 to May 2015.
In 2015, Laurent joined Enterprise Singapore as a Business Development Manager, a position they held for three years until July 2018.
Laurent then moved on to Newegg as an International Business Development Manager for the Marketplace division from July 2018 to August 2019.
Laurent's most recent role was at Klarna, where they started as the Enterprise Business Development Lead from September 2019 to December 2020. Laurent then became the Team Lead for Business Development Strategy & Ops from December 2020 to September 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Head of US Business Development - Growth Retail at Klarna.
Laurent Hesnard has a Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies/Political Science from UC San Diego. Prior to that, they attended the French American International School in San Francisco, CA, where they completed their high school education with a focus on International Economics. In addition to their formal education, Laurent has obtained several certifications, including the Strategic Leadership: Impact, Change, and Decision-Making Specialization from Dartmouth College through Coursera in July 2023, The Power of Macroeconomics: Economic Principles in the Real World from the University of California, Irvine through Coursera in September 2020, The Art of Sales: Mastering the Selling Process Specialization from Northwestern University through Coursera in August 2019, and the Strategic Management and Innovation Specialization from the Copenhagen Business School, which they completed in December 2016 through Coursera Course Certificates.
