Niklas Beischer has a diverse and extensive work experience in the technology industry. Niklas began their career at Opera Software in 2001, where they held various roles as a Software Engineer and Project Manager. Niklas then advanced to the position of Technical Lead before becoming the Team Manager for Opera Mobile Core, where they managed a team of 15 developers and delivered the core mobile browser to various platforms.
In 2012, Beischer transitioned to the role of Team Manager for Opera Mini Services, where they developed a system to identify the correct phone model and software for software package creation. Niklas managed a team of 3 developers and QA engineers for this project. In 2014, they became the Software Development Manager for Compression Tech, leading a team of engineers responsible for services like Opera Turbo and Opera Mini. During this time, Beischer and their team built a new compression solution.
Beischer joined Spotify in 2017 as an Engineering Manager, where they managed a team of Android and iOS developers, overseeing individual growth, recruitment, and engineering practices. Niklas then took on the role of Engineering Lead (Product Area Lead), managing a team of Engineering Managers and Staff Engineers and developing central features of the mobile Music app and streaming service. In 2019, Beischer became the Senior Engineering Manager, continuing to lead a Product Area and manage a team while contributing to the development of central features.
Currently, Beischer is employed at Klarna as the Director of Engineering.
Niklas Beischer pursued their education at Chalmers University of Technology from 1998 to 2001, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Engineering.
