Ricardo Rodrigues

Ricardo Rodrigues has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Ricardo worked at Klarna from 2018 to the present, starting as an Engineering Manager and later promoted to a Senior Engineering Manager role. Their responsibilities involved leading cross-functional teams, managing budgets, recruitment, defining and evaluating goals, and implementing working processes. Ricardo also played a crucial role in system architecture definition and software review and testing.

Before Klarna, Ricardo worked at Billpay Germany from 2012 to 2017 as a Payment Platform Engineering Team Lead. Ricardo provided leadership to the engineering team during this period.

In 2012, they were a Contractor Software Engineer at TVtextbook, Ltd, where they served as the lead developer and founder of a new reporting module solution. Ricardo was responsible for requirements assessment, design, development, and maintenance of web applications.

Prior to that, they worked as a Software Developer at HP from 2011 to 2012, maintaining and revamping HP's global intranet websites. Ricardo also conducted training sessions for website administration.

In 2008, Ricardo started their career as a Software Engineer at Link Consulting, where they worked until 2009.

In 2009, they briefly worked as an Analyst at CGD.

Ricardo Rodrigues completed their education at Instituto Superior Técnico. From 2003 to 2006, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Ricardo then pursued further education and obtained a Master's degree in Information Systems & Multimedia from the same institution, which they completed from 2006 to 2008.

In addition to their formal education, Ricardo also obtained several certifications. In July 2018, they obtained the AW-AWSD certification from Amazon. In March 2016, they received the CloudU Certificate from Rackspace, the #1 managed cloud company. In December 2012, they became a Certified ScrumMaster accredited by Scrum Alliance. In February 2010, Ricardo acquired several certifications from TIBCO Software Inc., including BPM411 – Server Objects w/Java, BPM451 – Custom Browser Client, BPM210 – Essencials BPM, and BPM410 – Business Studio. Prior to that, in July 2008, they completed the M 2790 – Troubleshooting and optimizing database servers using Microsoft SQL Server 2005 certification from Rumos. Additionally, in June 2008, they obtained the M 2789 - Administering and automating Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Database and Services 2005 certification, also from Rumos. Finally, in June 2008, they achieved the M2934 - Deploying and Managing Business Process and Integration Solutions Using Microsoft certification from Rumos.
