John Kearns has extensive work experience in the field of manufacturing engineering. John started their career in 1994 at Motorola as a Surface Mount & Product Assembly Process Engineer, where they focused on optimizing assembly processes for paging products. In 1999, they joined Nokia Ireland Ltd. (formerly Alcatel-Lucent Ireland Ltd) as a Senior Product Engineer, responsible for new product introductions and manufacturing process transfers. John later became a Manufacturing Transfer Project Engineer, leading an in-source manufacturing transfer project in Shanghai, China. From 2009 to 2017, John served as a Manufacturing Operations Project Manager, acting as the primary interface between ALU operations and business units, managing contract partners, and overseeing technical and business project management. In 2018, they joined Klas as a Manufacturing Engineer and later transitioned to the role of Principal Engineer Quality.
John Kearns attended the University of Galway from 1990 to 1994, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and Information Systems.
