Alan Richards

Alan Richards has extensive work experience in various leadership roles within the manufacturing industry. Alan is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer and Head of Corporate Sustainability at Klöckner Pentaplast since December 2023. Prior to that, they held the role of Chief Operating Officer at the same company since April 2019. From 2016 to 2019, Alan worked as the Vice President Value Chain Optimization at LEGO Group. Before that, they served as the Group Operations Director at Essentra Plc from 2012 to 2016, where they were responsible for leading global operations and optimizing various aspects of the supply chain. Alan also has experience at Mars as a Senior Director and at The Wrigley Company as a Production Director in both the USA and UK. Additionally, they have held leadership positions at Wrafton Laboratories and Swallowfield earlier in their career.

Alan Richards completed their education with a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd between 1982 and 1986. Alan then pursued a Leadership Post Graduate degree at the University of Exeter from 1995 to 1997. In 1999, Alan earned an MBA degree in Business from the University of Bath, completing their education journey.
