Wes Schoenherr has a diverse work experience spanning various educational institutions and roles. Wes is currently working as a Technical Content Developer at KMC Controls since February 2021. Prior to this, Wes worked as an English Teacher at Battle Creek Public Schools (BCPS) from August 2019 to February 2021. Wes also worked as an ESL Teacher at Maple Leaf Educational Systems from August 2018 to July 2019. Before that, Wes served as an English Teacher at Clayton Valley Charter from August 2016 to July 2018, and at Granada High School from August 2015 to July 2016. Wes started their teaching career as an ESL Teacher at Xi'an Gaoxin No.1 High School from February 2011 to July 2013. Wes also worked as an ESL Teacher at Aston Educational Group from August 2009 to January 2011.

Wes Schoenherr holds a Master's degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from the University of San Francisco, which they earned between 2013 and 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature, General from Eastern Michigan University from 2006 to 2008. Wes also attended Illinois Wesleyan University from 2002 to 2005, where they studied Philosophy and Religious Studies, although they did not complete a degree in that field.

In addition to their formal education, Wes has obtained several certifications. In December 2020, they completed training in Microsoft Teams Essential Training and Visio 2019 Essential Training through LinkedIn. In October 2020, they completed training in Instructional Design Essentials: Models of ID and Learning Articulate Storyline 3, also through LinkedIn. In June 2020, they obtained the Certified Professional Technical Communicator - Foundation certification from the Society for Technical Communication. Furthermore, in April 2019, they received the Michigan Professional Teaching Certificate from the Michigan Department of Education, and in June 2015, they obtained the California SB 2024 Single Subject English Credential from the California Department of Education.
