Marcelo Freitas has a diverse work experience in web development and software engineering. Marcelo is currently employed at Knak as a Senior Software Developer / Senior Frontend Developer. Prior to that, they worked at Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Frontend Engineer II, where they implemented and launched new user experiences on the AWS IAM Console and resolved customer issues. Marcelo also worked at Carleton University as a Senior Web Developer / Senior Frontend Developer, where they developed Carleton's Design System and mentored new team members. Before that, they worked as a Web Developer at Postmedia Network Inc. and Machine, where they built and maintained websites using various technologies, including WordPress. Marcelo also has experience as a Freelancer, where they developed projects for various tech companies, agencies, and educational institutions. In the past, they held positions at Grupo Edson Queiroz and Sistema Verdes Mares de Comunicação as a Senior Web Developer / Technical Team Leader and Web Developer, respectively. Marcelo began their career at Colégio 7 de Setembro as a Junior Web Developer, where they implemented a Content Management System and developed interactive web applications.
