Sebastian Dencker has an extensive work experience in various roles and positions. Sebastian started their career at ExxonMobil, where they worked as a Territory Manager and later as a Business Analyst and Head of Marketing & External Operations. Sebastian then moved on to becoming the European Programs Coordinator, responsible for project management and strategic alliances. In 2005, Dencker joined Ecolab as a Senior Corporate Auditor and gradually took on roles such as Audit Manager EMEA, Director & Country Manager, Director Compliance CEE, and Director Compliance Europe. Their responsibilities included financial controlling, sales division controlling, regional controlling, managing the accounting function, and ensuring compliance and internal control environment. In 2023, they joined Knaus Tabbert AG as the Head of Risk Management & Internal Audit, where they are responsible for evaluation of company processes and coordination of risk management and auditing activities.

Sebastian Dencker obtained their Master's Degree in International Accounting and Finance from the University of Liverpool, from the period of 2011 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in European Business Administration from Regent's University London, spanning from 1991 to 1995. During their undergraduate years, Sebastian also participated in a semester abroad at EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht in 1993. In terms of additional certifications, Sebastian obtained the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designation from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) in May 2020.
