Riccardo Mangion

Riccardo Mangion has held a variety of roles in the IT field since 2010. From 2010-2012, they worked as an IT Technician for Clam Technologies Ltd, where their main responsibilities included PC installation and repairs, configuration and maintenance of peripheral devices, and network cabling and termination. From 2012-2014, they worked as a Network Engineer and IT Consultant for Electronic Products Limited, where they were responsible for pre and post deployment stages of stock control software, monitoring and maintaining infrastructure servers, computers and POSs, and providing consultation to clients on the most ideal infrastructure for their needs. From 2014-2016, they worked as a Systems Administrator and Systems Support Executive for Exigy, where their main responsibilities included monitoring and maintaining a good level of reliability and consistency within the internal infrastructure, supporting in-house staff, and maintaining a disaster recovery plan. From 2016-2017, they worked as a Senior Systems Administrator for Accreda Ltd, where they were responsible for orchestrating company projects, establishing automated server generation routines, optimizing system performance, installing upgrades/patches, establishing system monitoring, and maintaining security protocols. From 2017-2019, they worked as a System Engineer for Bit8, where their main responsibilities included managing and monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure, installing, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools, and proactively ensuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability. From 2019-2020, they worked as a Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer for Radius Technologies Ltd, where their main responsibilities included self-hosted private cloud migration projects, maintaining hosted private cloud, S2S and C2S VPN setups, backup and replication validation, day-2-day in-house/outsourced support, and pre-migration site surveys and assessments. Currently, they are a Senior SaaS Engineer for Kneat Solutions, where their main responsibilities include ensuring the optimum availability and performance of the infrastructure that supports Kneat's SaaS platform, maintaining and performing regular and non-regular maintenance, managing planned outages and changes on infrastructure, collaborating with peers on the introduction and implementation of an IDP, maintaining and managing containerized broken down monoliths, and application and hardware monitoring.

Riccardo Mangion attended St. Edwards College from 1992 to 1999 and De La Salle College from 1999 to 2004. Riccardo then went on to pursue higher education and obtained a National Diploma in Networking and Infrastructure Technologies from Computer Domain from 2009 to 2011. During this time, they also obtained a MCSA: Windows Server 2008 R2 certification from Microsoft in March 2011. In 2008 to 2009, they obtained a Diploma in Information Computer Technology from MCAST and a CCNA certification from Cisco in 2010. Lastly, they completed an HND in Computing from Middlesex University Malta from 2010 to 2012.
