Brenda Friel

Brenda Friel is an experienced educator with a strong background in early childhood and elementary education. Currently serving as an MTSS Intervention Teacher K-3 and Instructional Coach at Knoch School District since August 2018, Brenda previously worked as an ESL Elementary Teacher at Quaker Valley School District from November 2017 to August 2018. Brenda's career began at Pittsburgh Public Schools, where tenure spanned from 1992 to 2017 as an Early Literacy Specialist and Teacher. Brenda's experience also includes working as a Head Start Teacher at Allegheny Intermediate Unit from 1990 to 1992. Academic credentials include a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, an ESL certification from Midwestern Intermediate Unit, an Elementary Education certification from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Reading Specialist Certification from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania.
