Trainer And Researcher - Digital Media And Digital Education at Knowledge Innovation Centre

Martin Debattista is a Senior Academic in Digital Humanities at the Institute of Tourism Studies, overseeing eLearning and academic research while coordinating the Masters Programme. With extensive experience as a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Malta, Martin teaches digital literacy and digital journalism. As a Research Associate with the Commonwealth Centre for Connected Learning and a trainer at the Knowledge Innovation Centre, Martin focuses on digital education. Contributions also include serving on the Board for the Malta Media Memory Project Foundation and previously leading the One Tablet Per Child initiative in the Ministry for Education and Employment, where strategic direction for digital education was established. Martin is currently pursuing a PhD in Digital Technologies for Heritage Interpretation at the University of Salford.
