John Bailey

John has spent his career as an investor, advisor and operator in consumer-facing companies, and has a passion for helping to build leading brands and businesses. Prior to founding Knox Lane, he served as both President and CFO of e.l.f. Beauty, where he helped to drive a transformation of the company through its ultimate IPO on the NYSE. Prior to joining e.l.f., John was a Partner with TPG Growth, where he served as Consumer sector lead and played a pivotal role in sourcing, leading and driving transformational investments across the Consumer ecosystem. Prior to TPG, John was with North Castle Partners, a consumer private equity firm focused on the healthy living space, working with consumer-facing products, services and healthcare companies. Prior to North Castle, he was in the investment banking division of Credit Suisse First Boston in New York.

John has a BBA with Distinction in Finance/Accounting from The University of Michigan - Ann Arbor (Ross School of Business).
